You can use kppp from Gnome. Otherwise you
can set up the ppp connection using redhst-config-network. Ther bring it up by
running ifup ppp0. Or if you decide to have it happen on boot it will happen on
boot. Under no circumstances do you run ifcfg-ppp0 directly.

between a linux and windows connection if we are talking about ppp.
Is it possible you formatted the disks your want to put linuc on in ntfs formay
previoussly. You may have to reformat them as fat32 or something less proprietary.
