Hello list.
I am a blind individual looking for an alternative to either Linux or OS X
10.3.9 on my powerbook. I managed to get it setup with Linux a few months
back. However, that solution is slow and laggy. OS X can't be upgraded beyond
10.3.9 without some difficulty.
so, my question: does OpenB
I appreciate the help. I already have VINUX on there (debian based). However,
I am having problems with the DBUS system where its udisks-deamon program
would start taking more cpu until the system would become completely
unresponsive. this would happen after a random amount of time from startup.
e that I am here at my place.

well,
its a standard Theo Response. However, reading between the lines, isn't there a
method to compile those packages for yourself? Honestly, it shouldn't be all
that hard. If I had a PPC machine here, I would start with the 6.0 ppc packages
and then start the compile process to make the 6.1. A
ld be doable, but I
don't have all the knowledge to do it properly other than by basic general
instructions.
so, is cross compiling a viable option?

have. However, that has changed over the last 7 years. Now, what I need is an
accessible installation image as well as an accessible running platform (this
means screen reader and braille support). There are a number o
sorry about the rant folks. someone posed the question to me and I probably
didn't answer it.
so, what am I hoping to accomplish? well, its not me that wants to accomplish
this, but the OP. I was hoping to contribute and got a bit sidetracked.
so, I posed some additional questions:

well, doing a little searching around turned up this little gem:

from what I have read, it appears that gcc tried to do something and failed.
there could be an underlying issue causing this. Since I am not a program
