I appreciate the help. I already have VINUX on there (debian based). However, I am having problems with the DBUS system where its udisks-deamon program would start taking more cpu until the system would become completely unresponsive. this would happen after a random amount of time from startup.
I've used openbsd on an old and machine as a firewall, so basic startup isn't that hard. getting speech to work though I have never tried with this OS though.
