I wouldn't be using OS X on that machine as 10.3.9 is not accessible for the
visually impaired user.
I would be wiping the current install of VINUX (linux) on that machine in
favor of a properly working openBSD with a working X11+Gnome+ORCA setup.

I will have to arrange a time with you to do this. I will be out on a tandem
ride tomorrow for my weekly training regimen for the upcoming Tour De' Hero
metric century Bicycle event (if you have to ask why a blind person is riding
a bike, its a tandem and I am the stoker).
