ntpd can be run in a 'set time once' mode with ntpd -q. so all you need to do is have a way of running ntpd -q when you connect. dunno what to do for that. perhaps if there is a connect script, you could add a line to it or something. as for getting ntpd configured right, i dont think there's much

I have a modem connection to net, and I want to keep the local h/w time accurate. So, I have installed the ntpd daemon. ntpd tries to connect to the time server at startup and then quits on error saying could not resolve host server. Basically I want the time to get synchronised after connect
