Some people have a real way of wasting time however it wasn't
all in vain, I've just spent a few seconds modifying my Window-Eyes
settings for VLC and undefining all those WE Hotkeys that VLC uses,
that's something I should have done long ago so this thread has inspired

The only thing I can't - at this time - play on VLC for Windows are
those files etc on my DLNA/UpNP devices but that's not because VLC for
Windows doesn't have the facilities to play them, I just haven't been
able to access the appropriate part with my Screen Reader yet, I'm sure
that if VLC fo
I tested
VLC with DVD'S, its best to open the DVD from the Open Disc option from
the media menu, from there you'll see a skip menu option which bypasses
the welcom menu etc, you can also select what you wish to play from here.

You can also use the menus, like video, audio and all that to move around. They
have a “program” and “ital” selector which actually can get you passed a DVD
menu too.

I didn't try it with DVD'S actually and I don't play DVD'S on my
computer but I can't see why it wouldn't work once you get past the
"Welcom" menu thing on a DVD, if you're running JAWS then perhaps the
Convenient OCR function may help you there.
