it's sounds like to me that one of the drivers that made the headset
work got corrupted so she might have to install those drivers again to
make her headset work or install the software that came with the headsets.

Leave the headset plugged in all the time, and, if you want to hear JAWS
through your desktop speakers, edit jfw.ini to force Eloquence to use them,
and foil skype's stealing away Eloquence' output. Let me know if you need
instructions on this last.
