The volume controls for the headset are fine. I should have mentioned that although the computer makes it's usual plugging in/ unplugging sounds, it acts like nothing was done at all. The sounds from the computer, Jaws, music, etc. still come out of the computer speakers. I'm about to go mess with the audigy sound card settings a bit more, after I download the most recent drivers.

   Thanks,

       Scott

Hi!
She might check the volume controls for the headset.
Open the control panel and select sound.
Control tab to the sound devices tab.
Here she can chooce the usb head set.
When that is doen she should tab to the volume button and press enter.
Check there whether the headset sound accitentally has been turned off.

My GF has an USB headset that suddenly doesn’t work. It was working fine, with the exception that she had to re-boot to get sound back after unplugging it. Now when you plug it in the computer makes the usual noises when plugging something in to the USB port, but the headset acts like it hasn’t been plugged in. No sound out of the microphone or the speakers on the headset. She’s running XP home SP3, any suggestions?

     Thanks,

         Scott
