hi. What I've decided to do is to just switch to my dec-talk express since that's a hardware synthesizer, and won't effect the sound card at all. I do like the dec-talk access 32 software speech though, so it's what i use most of the time when i'm online. but it's very easy for me to switch synths, pick up my headset and answer the skype call. so that's fine.
