If you've got an addressing system with enough bits that you don't have to start stealing them, it makes sense to pick some boundary length between our-problem : their-problem 128 bits is long enough, and changing protocols is nasty enough, that it should let you Never Have To Do It

All, I am looking for decent netflow analyzer and reporting software with good support for AS data. ManagEngine's product crashes or locks up my browser when I try to list/sort the AS info because it's too large of a list and there is no way to tell it to show just the top x results.

It wasn't my intention to turn this into a debate of SLAAC vs DHCPv6 but that seems to be what it has become... I agree, SLAAC is the easy way out. I once drank the Kool-Aid and was a "SLAACer" as well. My attitude is that if there is a problem with DHCPv6 support let's fix it, not abandon it.
