Hi, I'm thinking of giving gnome3 a whirl but i'm wondering if my graphics card
is too old/crappy to use it. I've got Intel Q45 Express chipset on this

go an install all the packages?

You could use a better Window Manager/Desktop. The cwm in base is
excellent. Also, fvwm2 in packages is excellent (I use that one), so are
some tiling WM's, like dwm and spectrwm.

In man dhcp-options(5) under "options static-routes", in the last sentence it
states to use the "routers" option for the default route. Have you

I use a Canon Pixma iP4700 - I had major problems getting it to work in
the last couple of years with BSD OS's but, it does now work with my
OpenBSD -current installation and the aforementioned ports. I actually
have it plugged into my Apple Mac and just print from OpenBSD via the
Apple Mac - cups picks it up ok.
Like you, mine was free and it was all I had to work with sadly but I
certainly will avoid Canon printers in the future, as Predrag suggests.

I was wondering if anyone uses dzen2 with OpenBSD (-current). If so I'd be
really interested to see some examples of setups and scripts.
I'd like to be able to see network activity, mailbox updates/status and a few

Hi
My desktop is a Lenovo Think centre, and i' stuck a logitech hd 720p
webcam in it. I wondered if anyone has had success with these - do they
work on OpenBSD and what packages might I need/consider to use it.
I ran sudo fw_update and it installed uvideo-firmware-1.2p0. The webcam

Yeah, that's what I figured. So it should be alright then. Just thought
I'd ask
Hi
I've got a machine which is dual-booting Windows 7 and OpenBSD current.
I am currently downloading the latest snapshot ready to upgrade but I
would like to know if this will affect the dual-boot set up. I put
my openbsd.pbr file into Windows and followed the faq guide to get

platform.
I think if I delete/remove all packages then boot into the i386 bsd.rd and
install all the i386 binaries, etc. and then reinstall all my packages this
will be ok and will mean I don't have to reinstall from

It's not enabled by default. And you need to copy
/usr/share/sendmail/cf/openbsd-proto.mc to your hostname.mc; edit it
with your requirements, then use make(1) on your hos

Hi
For the last few months i've been following -current using snapshots.
I see on the ftp mirrors that 5.3 is now there. This is probably a
