It is pretty minimalistic as it is, IMO but, if it's just altering the fonts it 
should be fairly intuitive from reading that file how to select a font you 
would prefer. /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup0 if you want to change xconsole or add a 
background color, for example, by using xsetroot, xpmroot, xv, etc. I think any 
changes will be lost on subsequent upgrades though.
