Hi Les, Yes, I do read braille, and I saw that about the braille manual from the Lighthouse. It looked like that was referring to the Leopard manual, but perhaps I misunderstood. Mary-- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. To post t

Hi Chris, Yes, I know about wireless headphones. I worked using headphones for 8 hours a day for 30 years, so I try to avoid them when possible. It could be a cheap way to find out just how far the keyboard will work reliably, though. 30 feet might do what I want. Mary-- You received this mes

Thanks for all the ideas. I think airfoil looks interesting, although its not the cheapest way to go. Oddly enough, my stereo has no fm tuner, the old one I had having broken, and commercial programming being so devoid of meaningful content that I never replaced it. So I suppose the transmitter

Hello all, Mac Mall is running a special on Fusion 3 today. One thing that intrigued me about the description of this product is the statement that you can import your entire windows pc to your Mac wirelessly or via a lan connection. It claims you can use your windows devices and software, which

Hi all, I have a lot of mp3 files that I really don't want going into my music library, since they aren't music. I want eventually to get them onto my ipod, and the only way I know to do that is via Itunes. Thee are old time radio programs and lectures and all sorts of other nonmusical sound rec

Hi Eric, Your point about not doubling up on existing Mac keyboard shortcuts makes a lot of sense. So, the obvious question, is there a list of such shortcuts in one place? I found one once, but it has a lot of truly esoteric stuff in it that I'd never heard of, much less that I would use. No, I

Control f2 did not take me to the dock when I just tried it. It took me to the menu bar. And command option d does nothing at all. So to get to the dock, the vo command is what is working. I am going to check out that list of commands that the accessibility folks posted, though, to see if there

2010-06-08 Thread Mary Otten
Does webkit have the Safari reader in it? Or is that an Apple add on? also, some time back, I went to the webkit site, which I don't remember the url for any more and got confused as to how to get it and replace Safari with it. I gather it uses the Safari interface. Heard that on one of the Mac-
