No, one can order books from other sources and use them with an I-device. But that was not the point of this review. The review was contrasting the IBooks store experience and selection with Kindle. And the IBooks store is the clear loser in his view. Of course, as we know, Kindle books are not accessible to voice over on the I-devices, so it is especially disheartening that the gap both in quantity and set up between IBooks and Amazon Kindle stores is so wide.
As for the lack of comment links, its hard to argue with facts, so what's to comment on? Maybe TUAW doesn't normally have such links. I admit I didn't pay attention.
