Hello all,

A few days back, I asked about playing dvds on the Mac and somebody helpfully
stated that the dvd player that comes with the Mac is accessible. It does have
lots of shortcuts, which is great. Of course, the dvd menus themselves don't
speak. I guess they are graphics. So my question is, how can you reliably
navigate the dvd menu. You get to it with command d. The help file says arrow
keys highlight, but I've found it very hit and miss as regards say arrowing
down 2 pressing enter and always ending up in the same place, i.e. starting the
same episode of a multi-episode dvd. Sometimes, nothing happens. Sometimes, I
can hit command d and do nothing and the intro music starts playing and another
press of connand d shuts it off. That's with no arrow movement. Other times,
command d followed by a couple or 3 down arrows does nothing. It all seems
quite random, hit and miss. So how do you work with dvds reliably?
