solution for Navigon in the near future which will be benefitting the blind. So
we will have two gps solutions to choose from. I thought I'd pass this along to

three minutes to do all this and get VO talking again.

although, it would be inappropriate to name a audio file in this manner.
My guess is that there's an apostrophe in the name. To maintain the
character precede it with a backslash.

Is MacOS giving the error or is the player? MacOS lets you use anything
except a leading period. Files starting with a period are hidden so you
normally wouldn't want to name something that way. I even made a test
file called '\"/{}[].mp3 and it OSX was just fine with it.

what happened to a blind friend of mine who was beside herself with fury when
her Windows desktop caught a vicious virus and she had to spend all day on the
issue, including disconnecting and wagging the desk

Internation is simply a numerical value assigned to how expressive a voice is.
So, for example if you have internation set to zero, your voice will sound very
monotone, almost like a robot. On the other hand, if you have intimation set to
100, it will be very expressive. Hope this helps.
In a brief test, it did not seem to do anything. I am pretty sure that the
Nuance voices do not honor the intonation setting. I have not tried Alex or any
of the older voices though.

I was having a similar problem with my Mac Mini but found I had a bad memory
stick. My husband was watching and it appears that voiceover was trying to load
but took it a minute or two. It's so hard when you don't know whether voiceover
is on or not.
