If you install Windows on your Mac, using Bootcamp, then you can use System
Access to Go (SA to Go) for your screen reader. SA to go is free and quite easy
to learn. This is how I solved my problem.

I'd much rather have US espeak than tom or samantha. To me those voices sound
like complete garbage.

article has a link to the source, and that source supposedly had links for
samples. I went there, found the article and the link to comments but not the

yeagh I had a chance to hear the voice in action and all I have to say is wow.
they some how made the samantha voice very crisp and bright. She sounds better
then on the ios device. Alex also sounds more bright as well.

I just got Dragon Dictates and I can't get it to give me any

And I'm assuming the voices on the Mac would be at a significantly higher bit
rate than those found on IOS. So you can't really say they will sound worse
just based on how they sound on the IOS platform.

If you find out the type & speed of ram that your macbook has, you can
just buy any ram that is the same specs.
Bear in mind that if you want to go to 8GB it could get a bit
expencive depending on your current configuration - e.g. if you don't
have a 4GB stick, you'll have to get rid of all of your

Actually, lets discuss this a little there are some interesting points here.
The largest limiter is spectrum. Each tower only has so much bandwidth
(literal bandwidth) that it can use. This means you can only push so many
megabits over all for everyone on a given facility. The more spectrum y
