Hmm, in my Solaris machines, setting the "LANG" environment variable
in the shell before launch will set the localization. I wonder if that
would work in Leopard? Something like a shell script

Nope its not the ram. My mac has 4 gb of ram and it is still quite
slow. it is the quicknav. Turn it off and it works better.

So that's what it is. I love being able to write in Spanish and
English now without having to change languages for spell check. If
anything, SL has been an improvement for bilingual people.

Just to update, it seems that the playlist broser bug with VO has not
been resolved with iTunes 9. What a bummer. I will definitely be
writing to Apple about this. It is extremely annoying not to be able
to do this... I have found that you can't tab into the playlist

or just opening the e-mail with the enter key or vo plus spacebar.
