It sounds like you’re getting the wooshing sound that you hear when you activate Mission control. Try pressing control up arrow or control down arrow and see if that’s the sound because control up arrow is the default Sonoma keystroke to activate mission control. If you are clicking a mouse and

I’ve written to accessibility. A haptic is only helpful if your phone is on
your person. Besides, if it can play a sound when bluetooth is connected, then
it can play a sound when it isn’t.

Hi,
Is there a place in my system preferences or elsewhere where I can turn on a
sound so that I know when a download completes? If I start a download in Safari
on Open Drive or somewhere VO will often say download started. But I have to
guess when it is finished.

The solution was not to change the VoiceOver output sound device.
There is a checkbox I’n Zoom to include system audio.
Zoom automatically changed the system sound output from speakers to the Zoom
audio, so after my recording, before closing the Zoom app, I changed it back to
speakers
