Hi Jurgen and others, I didn’t mention that I do have track pad commander enabled. I also should have said that a single finger double tap does work in some places as it does on the iPhone, example on a close button or in the extras menu. but in other places such as mail it doesn’t.

You need to go in to systems preference if I am not mistaken it should be enabled by default. However I don't believe it is enabled by default in voice over.
