Hi Jurgen and others, I didn’t mention that I do have track pad commander enabled. I also should have said that a single finger double tap does work in some places as it does on the iPhone, example on a close button or in the extras menu. but in other places such as mail it doesn’t. As I spend a lot of time in the mail app not mastering the track pad there is pretty mush a dead end for me.
I think. few years ago I tried to make a custom gesture for enter but failed. I can give the VO J assignment a try. Still without a enter function I expect I’ll hit a wall again in another app. I had hoped in the last few years something might have changed for the track pad. Thanks for the great info and tips. But what I’ve done was to define my own gesture for VO + j in VO utilities. Now I’m able to use this gesture to jump to the preview pane and back to the e-mails table. Good luck.
