I’m not sure what might have changed, but the trackpad on my Mac Book Pro with Trackpad Commander utilizes the same gesture structure as the iDevices. So, you can move around the screen and manipulate items as you do on the iPhone or iPad. You also can customize gestures and there are a few additional ones included specifically for Mac use.
