About the best that I can do is to use vo/left and right arrows while in Dom
mode. It works fairly well. Today I was able to just use the arrow keys on a
page, but I'm not sure why.

Hi,
It's only a chance thing. It's very, very unstable to use the arrow keys only.
As those who can make it work will probably agree with.

Hi LInda:
If you are in dOm mode and find the paragraph you would like to read, simply
press vo/a which, for me at least, will read the page until I press control to
stop it. I've read entire articles this way.

Hi:
vo/left and right arrows will though. You might have to interact with HtML
though. I have my Mac set so that the tab key will automatically interact.
HOpe that helps.

Hi John,
You can go to Apple's VoiceOver Downloads Page for the VoiceOver

This is also available in audio format on your system.

Is there a new VO user document that covers this, and more? A tutorial where a
newbie can turn? I'm an old Mac user, but want to start using VO more and more.
I prefer some kind of tutorial over just lists of commands.
Some of the reasons I'd like to use VO is that Zoom has so many focus proble

Yeah,
It is something apple really needs to fix. It works in dom mode but, only when
it feels like working. lol. I noticed if I load a page and try to use the
arrows it might not work, then I get up to get a glass of water and bam! it's
working. Maybe its saving the content of the page into
Hi,
Nope. I've done it when reading articles containing no tables, as well. Try
Google. It works there, too. :). The way it's done is a bit different for sure,
but it's line by line if you're at the beginning of a line when you use this
method. You'll see what I mean when I say it's a bit flaky
Hello Nic,
DOM mode doesn't allow me to do anything when just using the arrow keys except
when Quick Nav is on, and in that case, the up and down arrows perform the
action selected using the rotor (links, headers, etc.). I suppose if there's a
table it's possible to move up and down.
Cheers,

Hello Linda,
First of all, there are two ways of navigating websites: DOM and Groups. I have
set a hot key in Keyboard Commander to switch between these modes as I prefer
Groups mode in general, but DOM mode for reading articles straight through.
DOM mode only allows you to move left and right,
Hi Linda,
As I pointed out, it's not a complete solution. It can still be improved, so
it's certainly not the preferred method of navigation just yet. You might as
well get used to how VoiceOver handles things as opposed to Windows screen
readers until it improves somewhat. :)

Nic
