I have used Crucial products. They are compatible with the Mac and I have
never had any issues with them. Just be sure the SSD is definitely compatible

I went with Kingston for my SSD. So far, so good. I purchased a 240GB drive.
I also took out my optical drive and replaced it with the original Hard drive
that came in my Macbook pro. Just keep in mind, TRIM will not be enabled
automatically.
