Yep, the reason for that you can't use Disk Utility to repartition is that it
doesn't yet support manipulating CoreStorage groups, which is what
FileVault-encrypted volumes and Fusion Drives are made from. So if you have
one of these, you have to drop to the command line to delete the CoreStora
there is also lion disk maker
it also works for mavericks as well as mountain lion and lion disks
didn't have to go threw all those extra steps

I'm running Lion on my macbook.
I receive the today show as a podcast in my email.
How can I save the mp3 file to listen to it on my victor reader stream?
When I try to save attachments in the file menu it says that option is dimmed.

Hi Daniel. I think that it's version 4 because Nuance after that made
Vocalizer Automotive which you can also download in Jaws. But if you
have any other questions about voices for Jaws I'd suggest you write me
off list as we're kinda straying off topic here.

I know you said you can't remember but I was just wondering how do you know
which version they were before vocalizer expressive came along? If that makes
sense.

Hi Daniel. I can't remember but I think Jaws used version 4 of
RealSpeak solo. As for those extra voices you talk about, they're
available in Mavericks.

speech and look for the popup button that has all your voices in it.
Arrow down once in the pop up or press C U for customize. There you
should see a table
Hi Brian, I was asking about the actual name/version of the TTS's that Nuance
are using with Mountain Lion.
So, my question was more about the name of the version that Nuance call them on
Mountain Lion. Not the actual names of the individual voices you can get e.g.
Karen, Samantha etc.

Hi Daniel. Well, in Vocalizer expressive they've made more voices,
including 4 voices that used to be in Loquendo, Alison, Susan, Kate and
Vina. Also they improved the voice quality to some of the voices like
the Australian Karen voice.
