Hi Geoff,
Yeah it will.
I've got a terabyte of audio content, books and music,
I've tried multiple times to import both my audio books and music into itunes
and things stop for days,
I can't see how a newer mac book will speed this up as it's still got a
truckload of data to sort out

Thanks Tim,
Sounds like it would be a no go for what I’d have to use it for.
Worth a look anyway.

True, you can download the Audible app from the app store and listen to
Audible.com books using it. I use it all the time: and in fact, it’s the main
reason I chose to go with an iPhone 5 instead of a second gen Stream. Going
with a second gen stream would have meant authorizing the Stream to

M56 is in beta currently and will be stable very-shortly. It's a lot better

I'm delighted to hear that, Ramy. I do understand because I faced the same

Hi.
My wife gave me a Seagate 5 TB drive, only it comes Win 32 partitioned, with
their Windows backup software installed on a small partition. Thus, the drive
does not want to erase and repartition in Mac so I can use it for Time Machine.
Every time I try to Erase I get a fail message. Anyone

Unfortunately, NLS players cannot play Audible books. The Victor Reader Stream
can play them if it is authorized to do so by the Audible Book Manager.

Forget it. Audible books are in a specially packed mp3 format and you cannot
play them on any device not specifically authorized by Audible: not if you
want to be legal about it which I think one should.

Hi Everyone , I was thinking of signing up with audible .com and was
wondering if the books can be downloaded to a thumb drive and played on the
NLS player . Does anyone use audible and are you satisfied with it? I am
aware that you can listen to the books on your iDevices .
Thanks in advance ,

Is it much better than Chrome 50? Right now, we only support Chrome 45-50 for

The only issue with the insert key is that the Macintosh keyboard does not have

Does it do time estimation or just a percentage, I would be fine with a just a
percentage, since guessing how much time is left is much more difficult and
subjective.

No, I've not: I don't have a physical Chromebook, just the Cloudready

Scott,
That's good news. I din't think that it would be a difficult fix since the
announcement was still made when charging, but not when just on battery power.
Also, with a graphic being present for sighted users, there's easy access to
the status data.

Also, in the latest public beta, the menu item is restored to functional. It’s
a little different wording and gives a bit more status about the charge and
such but it restores a spoken value to the on screen control like we had
previously.

Be careful with these meters. Lots of them aren’t accessable themselves, and
the ones I’ve tried only send the results of the test to your phone. If there
is an error, for example, you are stuck-the error messages don’t get sent to the
phone. Oh, and lots need a sighted person to set them up.
You can ask Seri to give you the battery level and it will, it's also in the
system preferences under energy saver, not nearly as convenient as before, also
this will only give you the percentage, Apple removed the time estimation
completely.

I still think Emacs with Emacspeak is a little more delightful to use than
