No. My Apple Care expired this past November. This didn't start to happen
until the latest OS reinstall. Also, the machine is sitting on a hard surface;

You don't happen to have Apple Care do you? I've had one laptop with a
'defective heat pipe' which Apple replaced for free under warranty a
couple years ago now. Also, just to check the obvious, but you don't
have the machine nestled down in anything soft like a couch cushion or

Actually, it turned out not to do the trick after all. I think something else
is going wrong here because something's really pulling hard on the GPU: but,

Is there any other way to do this on an iMac? If not it will be a Two person

In order to reset the SMC, shut down the computer and plug in the charger. Hold
these keys on the left side of the keyboard, shift, control and option then
press the power button. Release them all at the same time, then press the power
button to power up. Hopefully that will solve it.

Is that the one where you press shift+Option+r and the P key? Or, is the P not
used?

That's awesome, thanks! I wonder if that used to not be available back when I

Already did that. I made sure to do it while the fan was going crazy. No
process was taking more than 30% of effort from the GPU. I know that when I
removed Fan control some time back, there was something I had to reset with
respect to the batttery. Any thoughts?

You can take a look at Activity Monitor and try to determine what might be
running that is consuming resources or causing your processor to work harder.
If it is not that, at least you are eliminating that possibility.

Okay, This is really weird. Ever since my OS reinstallation back a couple of
weeks ago, I noticed that every time I do anything with my Mac book Pro that's
even a little taxing on the GPU, (even saving mp3 or .m4a files) my fan always
goes to it's highest speed. I suspect that this is not nor
I don't use that app, but the calendar app on the Mac already supports natural

press enter.

Hi all,
I was just looking through the archives and I think I made a mistake.
I believe it is a Nook book I've been reading with iText express, not a Kindle

The book is available on both platforms.

Perfect time for Apple to swoop in then. Hopefully, we will see some major

I agree that the find command, which works in other applications with the VO
keys and f, should work in Numbers as well. Since Apple is busy making changes
to iWorks, I hope that's on our wish list for VoiceOver for this to be fixed.
