From my experience its quite disappointing for beginners to
produce a Document differing from the standard layout -eg a letter
with own header and footer- there is a lot of Latex know how you
need in the beginning. (more than you need to do this with a common
office application)

Up to now I'm using my own version of susemac.inc with
\InputIfFileExists{/myhomedir/.lyx/include/susemac.inc}
and it works fine for ps/pdf output, but dont work for HTML output.
