How is it possible to have a automatic update of pdf file so the pdf can viewed
as the lyx file is been created?
Are there command line options that can be set that would enable this?
My plan is, if possible, to have a cron job calling a script to generate pdf
from lyx which is then displ

is there a way to customize the enumeration style that's used by LyX for
displaying enumerations? Note, that I'm not talking about the
enumeration styles used in the produced document. I know how to change
those. FWIW, I'm still using LyX 1.3.5.
I'd prefer a way to do this via layout files

that it then refuses to start because windefault is missing. I assume this
refers to windefault.ui. What has gone wrong here? Or more to the point, how

to go to Edit->Preferences, File formats, select LaTeX and then set
the Viewer to your favorite

Matlab generates the ps file even when I remove its GS directory completely.
When I substitute Matlab GS with "official" GS, the figures still misbehave
