Hi,

is there a way to customize the enumeration style that's used by LyX for
displaying enumerations? Note, that I'm not talking about the
enumeration styles used in the produced document. I know how to change
those. FWIW, I'm still using LyX 1.3.5.

I'd prefer a way to do this via layout files because based on the
enumerate or paralist packages I've created several styles for
enumerations with different LatexParam, e.g. Enumeration_a_b_c with
LatexParam "a)" to get a), b), c) like enums and Enumeration_i_ii_iii
with LatexParam "(i)" to get (i), (ii), (iii) like enums. The only
problem is that I didn't find a way to make LyX display the
enumerations like they will appear in the produced document. Using
Counter_EnumII or Counter_EnumIII instead of Counter_EnumI as LabelType
didn't work because then LyX didn't display any labels at all.

Alternatively, I could live for now with changing the default labels LyX
uses for enums, i.e. I'd change the default label for depth 1
from "(1)" to "a)" and the default label for depth 2 from "(a)"
to "(i)".

Regards,
Ingo
