You could try to apply
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/l/lyx/lyx_1.3.4-2.diff.gz to your
unpacked source, chmod +x debian/rules, add a changelog entry with updated
version number in debian/changelog and then build .deb packages with
fakeroot debian/rules binary
If you do that and have
Dear All
I am using LyX 1.3.6 on Mandriva LE2005. In spite of the fact that LyX
works perfectly, I always get the following on the console, at the
startup:
MenuItem(): LyX command `show-forks' does not exist.
I thought it would be worthy of reporting this.

Hi,
I'm very interested to have a deb file for lyx-1.3.6.
What does it means apply lyx_1.3.4-2.diff.gz to
unpacked source lyx 1.3.6 ?
I tried to patch source with lyx_1.3.4-2.diff.gz but failed.
Thanks for further information about how to build an

It's waiting for you to specify the directory it should be looking in.
grep -r 'show-forks' $HOME/.lyx

One of two things:
1. You really do have a different menu layout to the default one shipped by
LyX. In that case, simply remov

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find any
reference to it in the archives.
As the subject says, the bind file I choose (emacs.bind) doesn't seem to
have an effect. The status-bar shows the correct keystrokes when I
choose an option from the menu (e.g. (buffer-write: [C-

I think the issue you are having is that with the Aqua-QT version of
LyX, the Control key has been remapped to the Command key. I just
tried the emacs.bind on my machine, and for example, buffer-write
works with command-x command-s but not control-x control-s.
I think the fink-X11 version
Thanks for your advice Geoff.
However, I found my problem was due to having the footnote within an ERT.
With the footnote outside the ERT, it printed fine on the Chapter page without
needing \fancypagestyle{plain}.

Ah, right you are! Is there any way to change it back? It's much
easier to remap one's keys than to remap one's fingers.
Sorry
I didnot notice the reply-to was not the list.
