One of two things: 1. You really do have a different menu layout to the default one shipped by LyX. In that case, simply remove the offending line. 2. /home/psmith/.lyx/ui/default.ui is an artefact of some ancient experimentation. Delete it and use the one shipped by LyX. Your call. -- Angus
