I think the issue you are having is that with the Aqua-QT version of
LyX, the Control key has been remapped to the Command key. I just
tried the emacs.bind on my machine, and for example, buffer-write
works with command-x command-s but not control-x control-s.
I think the fink-X11 version still uses the control key as expected
in that environment.

As the subject says, the bind file I choose (emacs.bind) doesn't
seem to have an effect. The status-bar shows the correct
keystrokes when I choose an option from the menu (e.g. (buffer-
write: [C-x C-s]) ), but those keystrokes do not save the file -
none of them work. This was the same with the previous versions as
well.
The X11 version installed with fink doesn't have this problem, but
of course is missing all that Mac goodness of the Mac native version.
Any suggestions?
