By now, you have seen the new Welcome message for the KX-T mailing
list. This was generated because I have changed mailing list software.
The Sun SPARCstation 5 that was running the old majordomo software is
being retired, so I took this opportunity to try out a different
package. This new soft

The web site should be working now. We are having some problems with
our ISP (they aren't routing packets to some of our IP addresses) but I
have to take the blame for this web site outage. I screwed up when

In fact, most of the messages that it has been completely stripping are

It's nothing like that. If I don't restrict the postings to subscribed

We switched from a KX-T336 to a Cortelco Millennium, so we are feeding
it to a Millennium now, and are quite happy

Hi. We have a customer that we installed a Mitel SX-10 for 20 years
ago, and it's starting to have problems, so we're looking at replacing
it with a Panasonic.
My only concern is if the toll restriction is up to the capabilities of
the SX-10.
Basically, they have two different kinds of lines, so

We're looking to replace out a system where the customer is used to

I installed a KX-TD816 for a non-profit, and gave the manager there
program access so she can turn on and off toll restriction on various
phones at various times. She's been doing this for years, with their
old Mitel SX-10 too, so she knows what she's doing.
Suddenly, she reports that she can't g

She is. Her phone hasn't moved. That's what's so strange.

After almost 20 years of using a KX-T61610 system at home, today I
upgraded to a KX-TA824, along with some new KX-T7731 sets.
My main motivation for upgrading was to be able to get Caller ID / Call
Waiting information at all sets. Yet this is the one feature that is
not working reliably.

Actually, no, there's no data (I believe it's actually 1200 bps) being
sent, presumably because the 824 isn't sending the correct response to
the CID/CW alert

Wasn't the KX-TA824 the first system to support the Common Area CID? I

The loud static seems to come and go on nearly any analog connection.
Digital sets only get it when connected to analog lines

I hear it on intercom calls from analog stations. And it's

No, the lines themselves were clean. I tried initializing the system

eBay for $225 and am awaiting delivery.
Just to do a final followup on this issue, I tried everything
imaginable, and nothing worked short of a system replacement. We
swapped in a new (used) system, moved over the add-on modules,
reprogrammed, and everything has been fine for weeks. eBay to the
rescue.
