When would a customer choose the A1232 over the D1232? is it just the price
that makes a difference?

I think it is primarily price, not just the price of the KSU, but phones
also. The down side is a single line display on the 70XX and 73XX phones.
I am sure Panasonic will release a 3 line LCD, and with some improved
CallerID features the TA will be a much better residential solution.

Price fixing, by manufacturers or groups of dealers, is illegal, but not

I took a VA system out of one home and put in a TD816, the customer saw the
7400 size and said no way. He loves the footprint size of the 7000.
