As reported a couple of months ago, I had some problems with the brake

my shoes were jamming against the vertical rudder links and the master

Before you go too far have think about what are you going to do about brakes.
Are you going to have any & if so what sort. How are you going to mount them.

Folks,
I've heard back from Steve Bennett at Great Plains about my brake problem. He
has been really helpful given my difficulty in explaining my system to him in
email words. He has no knowledge of the problem previously which suggests it is
my setup at fault.
Steve suggests that if the cylin
Hi Jeff
I'm using a Castrol automotive DOT 4 green fluid. Great Plains says to use

are used. Nontheless I reckon you are on the right track with the fluid

integral resevoir as such like you see in, for example, my Cessna Cardinal. All
fluid storage is within the master itself which is about 3" long by 1" diameter.

Hi Larry
The problem occurs on both sides which are independent of each other so I
reckon its something to do with the design or my setup. The Great Plains model

Tim & Netters;
The best way I have ever found to bleed brakes is to "pull" the brake fluid
from the bleeder screw at the wheel cylinder or caliper with a vacuum pump.
Most auto part stores sell these for about $25. Just keep your eye on the
reservoir to make sure it never runs dry.

Tim to bleed the system with a small hose a jar and no other equipment,
connect the hose to the bleeder valve (You can use a tywrap to secure the
