I am glad your decision will not be based completely on the voting results.
Given that voting requires forum membership, the results are likely to have a

I have some epoxy purchased in 2003 that has a stated shelf-life of 1 year on
the bottles. I won't use it on any structural part of my KR project. However, I
did use it this week on wooden canoe I am building, and it appears to be just
fine. I guess I am willing to risk a cold swim to shore with

I am moving to Little Rock in August, to start my new job at UALR, and will be
bringing along a boat stage KR2 that I picked up this spring. Perhaps we can
hook up then. I spoke with a guy in North Little Rock about possible renting
hanger/build space from the EAA chapter there. I'm hopin

I'd sure be happy to hear more. I spent the past several days driving from
Moscow, ID to Colorado Springs, CO and back, picking up the KR2 project I
recently purchased. The wings are a major part of what is left to be done...
Lots done... but lots left...

Mark et al.:
I'd like to follow up on your last comment with a question/clarification.
I've read your thoughts on AOI etc. I believe the project (boat with main spars
in place) I just purchased was built to original KR2 plans, so I assume it is
using 3.5degre AOI for wings?. I intend on going wi
thank you.
I'll think it all through when I get the project in hand. But if the difference
is this minor, I'll probably avoid the hassle. I'm mostly concerned with pitch
stability and rudder control anyway, so modifying h.s. and rudder will be my
priority.

the EAA aerocrafter CD has a simple database that "sort of" attempts this... of
course that CD is so old now, it probably won't run on your current computer...
just kidding... sort of... it would be nice if they would update aerocrafter
more than once a decade...

Just spoke with Larry Constable, the seller. My check is in the mail. I am now
the proud owner of a KR2 project!
Wow, Dreams do come true... guess mine will be a 2-seater afterall :)... will
be picking it up in a couple weeks.
How exciting is this!

This is likely to be the first of many questions posted in the months/years

I assume the KR2 project (boat stage, spars built) I just bought is stock KR2.
Ie, no extended fuse, stock spars, etc. Were I starting from scratch I would
be building a KR2S, and would go with the 18% AS5048
Has anyone ever built or contemplated building a single seat KR2S. Ie,
narrowing the fuselage a bit, but maintaining the length, span, etc? Just
thinking it might be sort of a luxury single seater, with a nice combo of
speed/comfort and even some capacity for a little bit of payload (luggage

Over the past three years I have purchased 8-9 sets of experimental aircraft
plans, most from the original source, but a couple online from third parties
after confirming they had not been previously used to build a plane. When
purchasing from the original designer, or the designer's heirs, I'm

I've only been lurking here in KRnet world for a couple months, just received
