I too have bicycle cable brakes on retractable gear. Workable, but never great. Putting on the expensive drums (research the KR newsletter) helped some, and replacing the bicycle brake cables with motorcycle cables would help a lot. Cable brakes are light, cheap, reliable, never need to be bled,

Interesting question. A tail-dragger ought to have good differential brakes. They are often the only things keeping you out of the weeds. My brakes have little bent aluminium brackets hinged to the top of the rudder pedals that pull ordinary bicycle cables that run through the floor to the go-cart

I put an inch of dunnage over the canopy, stretched poly over that, and fiberglassed over the polyvinyl contacting only the fuselage away from the canopy. When the glass cured, I removed the dunnage and glued in felt. This made a perfect water tight canopy cover that will never scratch the glass.
