I put an inch of dunnage over the canopy, stretched poly over that, and
fiberglassed over the polyvinyl contacting only the fuselage away from the
canopy. When the glass cured, I removed the dunnage and glued in felt. This
made a perfect water tight canopy cover that will never scratch the glass.
