Yes, anyone can bring anything they think other builders might be
interested in. I just can't guarantee a sale. :-)

The early Monette? conversions had a 4th bearing option. It was an al.
housing with a sealed bearing supporting the shaft. A friend of mine had one

Steve Bennett engineered a flywheel-end-drive Type 1 conversion which
takes advantage of the big clutch-end bearing at that end of the case.
Not sure if GPASC still offers it but it's likely. There is a prop
extension but I'm not sure how long it is. I saw the installation on

Also ONLY a 2 blade. The VW does not like 3 blades. It will tolerate a 4
blade but why pay for extra blades

Essentially yes, both the Revmaster and the Great Planes Force One hub are an
additional bearing installed at the prop hub. But it is a 4th bearing, not 5th

Chad,
Yes I do remember doing a laminate, but I can't remember whether it was
horizontal or vertical. Either one will work for the design, no issues.

Please hold up on registering on the Gathering web page. I caught
John off guard and he has some changes and updates he needs to make
before going live. My apologies to John.

I forgot to give you the phone number for the Drury. 618 246

Gathering attendees,
I'm starting to put things together for the 2016 Gathering. The
Drury Inn and Suites will be the lodging for this year. It is
located next to the interstate, opposite side from the Holiday
Inn. Twenty rooms are blocked until September 1. Blocked are 10
rooms with a s

Hi Mike,
I did and responded back to the net. See below. I didn't see it show up so
maybe it didn't go through.
"Yes. We have 12 different KR cowls. Everything from Dan Diehl and all the rand
molds for the 2 and 2S. We have splashes from Marty's, Dan D's, and Steve
Alderman's 0200's as well."
I have over 500 hrs on my 2180 cc, standard shrink fit hub, with a 3 inch
aluminum extension. No problems with the standard bearing or the crank. And I
have pulled tight turns at high engine rpms.ALWAYS USE A WOOD PROP! Anything
else is too heavy.

Owen,
On your web site pictures looks like you have an extension on the prop shaft
for the VW engine. Steve Bennett was always adamant about keeping the
propeller weight to a minimum, not putting extensions on the crank shaft or
anything that would aggravate the gyroscopic forces on the VW cran
