Pete,
My KR2S plans says the maximum I.D. width (between top longerons) is
35 5/8" @ about halfway between the fore and aft spars. It's
approximately 1.5-1.75" narrower in the shoulder region. Some builders
have moved this widest point near the trailing edge of the wings to

NetHeads,
Speaking of abandoned projects, the recent email regarding updating the
www.KRnet.org webpage made me check for dead links, and I probably killed about
10-12 of the "under construction" projects which have gone dormant. I know a
couple of the guys died before their KRs were finished
I'd like to know the inside dimensions of a KR-2S, particularly cabin
width, before I commit to buying plans and building one. Are there any
flying examples or completed fuselages in the Fort Worth, Texas area I
could visit? Thanks, Pete
Any filler compound is going to add alot of weight, given what you
describe...
Re-skin it...

Trim!!! No...not as in airplane, but in your messages. We are getting
a lot of one sentence posts followed by 40 lines of repeated garbage.
It only takes a couple of seconds to highlight the un-needed repeats and
delete them before sending your post to the list. It is a KRnet rule

I used a Zenith Canopy and cut it down to the size I wanted, (small cuts)
then just pushed it into the shape I wanted, very flexible, and did not
affect the optics.
Get someone to hold it in place while you sit in the KR, push the shape
around and s

Folks, I recently purchased my friends KR2S project. It's in the boat
stage. He has a canopy form an RV9 that he was going to do as a
slider. Problem, the width between the upper longerons in the cabin
area is 36". Canopy is 40". He had built the sides out about 2" on
each side flush at the top wit
This plane must have been in a very wet environment for that to happen. I

I know, I was also joking. But I do suggest that maybe you get some cheap
stickers made up and give them to everybody who does NOT have a KR as a "KR
wannabe". i'd pay a couple of bucks for one.

Gentlemen,
I have gotten several e-mails from guys who will be flying a non KR plane to
the Gathering asking if they too can get a placard for their plane. The
answer is "no". You must fly a KR to the Gathering to receive a KR placard.
I was just kidding Langford about his Swift and just to make
I'm coming. Can't guarantee a KR. But I will come up in a Sundowner (at least
it's a plane). Can I still get a plaque - for my eventual KR?

As a bonus, the straps on the duffle can be used to further secure it to

That's all I use them for, on off for my double throw relay to control the
pump to get fuel to the header tank.
I have a fuel flow system from

Mark,
will this work on my airplane also?

This really hasn't a lot to do with KR's, but wanted to mention a setup
that was used in a Velocity. There was some study about "deep stall"
condition where the canard airplanes stall, then go flat and come down
vertically
like a leaf falling from a tree. The airplane will not pitch over

That switch is either on or off, not to detect levels. They are good
switches though. Use them at work in a horrible corrosive environment and
have
only seen one bad one in 10+ years of use.

Dan,
I used an Army duffle bag and filled it up with read mix cement bags, one at a
time progressing up to the max weight. Duffle bag was secured with the
passenger seat belt. I did not do any stalls with the max weight - didn't want
any unneccessarity suprises. Worked fine.
Thanks,

The fuel level swtich I use is from http://fluidswitch.com/pages/fs11.htm
