Does anyone have a suggestion, whether in terms of the Icinga interface or in
terms of the browser or add-ons, so that we can fulfill this requirement?

If you are able to run an snmpwalk on the switches, I would recommend looking
for minor differences in the oid's - if port numbering, chassis number etc. are
even slightly different then the oid's will not match.
Hope this helps.

To address this:

Zachary,
Removing the state file is exactly what I did when I encountered this the other
day. The system was rather busy for a short while, which I assume was due to
rechecking the status of all hosts and services.

h I see an icinga2 process running, "service
icinga2 status" reports it as not running.
More detailed output below as to O/S version and so on; hoping someone has seen
this and can shed some light on how to address it.

Hello, all.
Hoping someone has encountered something similar and already has a solution. I
am trying to find the most straight forward method of allowing a higher timeout
value for commands issued against a limited set of hosts or devices that are
known to have slow connections. If I just set t
ed to use one of the ido plugins for icinga2 (mysql or postgresql). I
use the postgresql one myself. Works great.
