Hi there.
I'm just starting to use and understand transaction import via CSV. I've
found that when importing a transaction this way, the "R" (reconcile
status) field is automatically set to "c" (cleared). Is there a way to
avoid this when importing and leave the status to "n"?

Hi.
I'll be on vacation soon and won't take my laptop with me. Thus, I
installed the Android app on my phone and imported the file I have on my
laptop. It looks good and seems to work fine.
I'd be copying this file back to my laptop, once I'll be back home after
vacation.

Hi Stan.
You're right - it's not GNC, it's my (lack of) accounting knowledge. I
might give a repeated read of chapter 2 - in the meantime I am still

Hi all.
I've just sold one of my instruments, for which I already have a dedicated
account "Assets:Current Assets:Music Equipment EUR:Korg MS-20M".
The opening balance for this item is 800 EUR.
I now sold it and I got 1214 EUR for it. So I entered 1214 in the "Total

Now, some instructions I found tell me to go under "Edit - Preferences" but

Hi Chris.
Thanks for your input - it seems cumbersome to me, adding accounts for each
instrument I buy. Nevertheless, in my accounting ignorance, I think I
understand it and it looks very nice and detailed.
I might try this next time I buy some instrument indeed!
Thanks,

Hi.
I'm partner and own stocks of the company I work for. This company is not
on the public market.
The stock value is defined once per year and dividends are then paid out.
Do I understand correctly, that I don't have to set up a "stock" type
account for this, as those stocks are not publicly tra

credit card and 2500 by wire transfer.
