Thanks for chiming in.
Of course I've already entered the future transactions with their execution
date (in the future). This is why I now see the "Total" value for my
checking account which is different from the real value of my checking
account (what the bank is showing me).
I'd like to have a possibility to see (only) the actual amount (today),
having GnuCash sort of ignoring the transactions entered with future dates.
Apparently the "Present" column does something like this, but I haven't
figured out yet how exactly this works.
