Speaking of the old days. I remember sunning Linux and NmTech rt09 on
my portable sewing machine sized Tandy model four. I finally got it
compact enough I could run a stepper mill from a single 360 floppy.
That was a couple years before Paul Corner built the first BDI CD.

It also goes in the bore preservative version of Ed’s Red and home brew
formulation of ATF , acetone, etc. Google is indeed your friend; the bore
cleaner version lacks the lanolin and after you clean the bore you add Ed’s red
with lanolin to preserve the bore.

Lanolin has been used for generations for rust prevention, not least on
sawbench and planer tables
Lanolin based. Used in the northeast us for treating underside of
cars/trucks going into the winter. Leaves a wet waxy coating that will
hold onto dirt to create a shell over the sprayed parts.
