I will also point out that LinuxCNC itself seems to be far from dead.
We have had 12 forum sign-ups today alone, and that's fairly typical.
I don't think I have access to mailing-list sign-ups, or to any stats
on downloads.
Another thing that makes quite a difference is all the included
configurations and the conf helper apps that help you set up stepper or
servo systems. Makes things much simpler yet still configurable.
