Just so you don't think I died in a fire. I'm just under a lot of pressure
at my new workplace and I'm working weekends because we're flying by the
edge of our seats at this start up.
I just ordered my family gifts online. I'm trying to get my priorities
right. I will have this done before the ne

Herbert,
Raymond and I have made a lot of progress with the build of the Open Office
Software on Solaris 11. We are now trying to compile the VCL module, but have
found a problem that we hope you might be able to provide some insight on.
The build stopped in vcl while compiling /vcl/unx/generi
It turns out that the proximate cause of this error was that on the python
side, I was attempting to pass a stream backed by an _io.TextIOWrapper
object, which yields unicode strings as opposed to bytes. Passing a stream
backed by a byte stream resolves the issue.
I will likely delay investigating
I'd like to use openoffice to programmatically convert docx to pdf. I know
unoconv can do this, and indeed unoconv will do this for me, even if I run
a separate listener (using `unoconv -l`) and invoke `unoconv -n` (so that
it will die if it can't connect to the listener). Accordingly, I assume

Grazie

I successfully completed my first build and installed open office! I
searched the email and found the same error I was getting, I am sorry
for reporting it here since it was already solved. I changed in
instsetoo_native/util/openoffice.lst the POOLPRODUCT variable from 1 to
