I'm cross-posting this reply to the tac list just for info as I just made a
similar promise over there - but was less explicit (in the case of TAC I'm
cutting their request for support for 2x small events - leaving the
ApacheCon budget in place). Also X-posting to fundraising for info.
OK, so we have no objections and offers of help from the community in
Europe (thank you).
However, I am not going to include the budget in the first instance. The
reason is that other areas need a significant budget increase this year and
I need to keep the budget levels low elsewhere.
