problem is a "glitch" or intel q35 doesn't support Ubuntu 14.04. From
the chat they told me i should downgrade to Ubun

Since /etc/cups/cupsd.conf is a file that can be changed by anyone with
root permission, any idea what caused the double Listen line? Anyway
Ubuntu 13.04 is no longer supported, did you still experience this
problem in a supported 64 bit release?

If I put in Listen /var/run/cups/cups.sock included twice I have no
problem accessing localhost:631 on Ubuntu 14.04. Please provide the
cupsd.conf file/directive which causes the problem.

The extreme right hand toolbar (proerties / animations / styles, etc.)
has only blank buttons, you can only recognize what the button does by
invoking the tooltips (placing the mouse over the button). This was
present also in Mint 16 Cinnamon, wasn't fixed
