saying that chaning the setting would speed up Ubuntu, especially on

I figured out what I needed to make this work. Right-mouse-click on
desktop to "Change Desktop background", then click on the Theme tab to
start. Click on "Customize" at that point and click on the "Icons" tab
of the "Customize Theme" window and choose an icon set. The software
behaves as expected.
I can confirm this bug too. Even it is not happening very often, its
very annoying.

I had the same problem, most often the trigger was opening evince for a
.ps or .pdf document. It's one of the things done when I have already a
lot of applications open.

After update to gutsy gnome-screensaver does not work anymore. I set it
to blank the screen after 10mins of inactivity, but it does not blank.

I was testing the "pi" package in Ubuntu Gutsy (current to the repositories as
of Oct. 26, 2007).
The command "pi 100 > pi-1M.txt" output the first million digits of pi to a
text file, which I then wanted to inspect via gedit (version 2.20.1-0

seguintes, será bug or bad download and burn CD ?, formatei e reinstalei v

Oh... I forgot to mention that version 0.2.2 no longer requires to be run using
gksudo!
Whenever required, the program will request elevated privileges and you will
have to provide you admin/root password to allow it to save the changes you
make to your screensavers.

Phew! After reading half the internet I was finally able to create a
.deb package for the program.

I have the same problem with latex created pdf files... except I do not
use evince but kpdf !
As for others above, xpdf and acroread print fine. Since this problem
arises only when using evince and kpdf, maybe it is due to something
they have in common. Could it be poppler ?

I confirm this (see attached screenshot)
It is possible to reproduce the problem also by dragging a new background and
then resetting to the default one. To restore the alignment
hiding and re-showing the sidebar is sufficient.
